Steubenville had won ten straight home games dating back to last season and Will Taylor did his part to make it 11 on Wednesday. The Steubenville Big Red breezed past the River Pilots to the tune of 59-19 thanks in part to Taylor, who made all 9 shots he took to post 19 points. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Samuel Boni was another key player, putting up three points and five boards. Those five rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Steubenville's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Steubenville and River could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Steubenville (ranked 61st) will meet Morgantown (ranked second) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, River will face off against Buckeye Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 339 places (674 vs. 335).
