San Francisco powerhouse Archbishop Riordan jumped over two West Catholic Athletic League rivals to the No. 6 position in the new California State rankings released on Tuesday.

The Crusaders, led by the dynamic backcourt of Bryce Monroe and Je'Lani Clark, jumped from No. 15 all the way to No. 6 in this week's rankings. They passed up WCAL rivals Mitty and Bellarmine, who remained at No. 9 and No. 10.

Riordan has taken over the outright lead in the rugged league with a 6-1 record, winning six straight games after opening with a loss to St. Francis.

Top-ranked Sierra Canyon holds a firm spot at No. 1 after two lopsided wins, as does No. 2 Centennial. Etiwanda made a nice leap from No. 7 to No. 3 with two blowout wins.
