Pilot Point lost against Whitesboro back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Pilot Point fell 7-4 to Whitesboro. Pilot Point's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Pilot Point saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fernando Marmolejo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Marmolejo snagged this season.

Pilot Point's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-6. As for Whitesboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

While Pilot Point had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
