Volleyball Recap: Wheaton Takes a Loss

Wheaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the East Newton Patriots, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since September 18th.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-9.

East Newton found their leader in sophomore Sylvia Larsen, who had 12 digs and five aces. Larsen has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Wheaton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15-1. As for East Newton, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-14-1.

Wheaton has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Golden City on the 14th. As for East Newton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Nevada on the 14th.
