Soccer Recap: Wakefield Sets Scoring Season-High Against Knightdale

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wakefield). They put the hurt on the Knightdale Knights with a sharp 16-0 victory on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what Wakefield needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Their offense was hitting Knightdale from everywhere, as 12 different players booted in a goal. Kayli Barlett led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The win got Wakefield back to even at 5-5-2. As for Knightdale, they dropped their record down to 3-10-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
