Basketball Recap: Wenonah Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Wenonah picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They strolled past the Mount Paran Christian Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 81-67.

Despite the loss, Mount Paran Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Shane Goines went 8 for 16 on his way to 26 points. Jt Scott was another key player, putting up nine points.

Wenonah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Mount Paran Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Wenonah will challenge John Carroll Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Mount Paran Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. One thing working in Mount Paran Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
