After each having a week off, the Morgan County Bulldogs and the Westside Seminoles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Morgan County's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Last Friday, Morgan County got the win against Callaway by a conclusive 43-22. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Christian Monfort was his usual excellent self, rushing for 190 yards and three touchdowns. Monfort is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Davis Strickland, who threw for 233 yards and three TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Morgan County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 244 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.
Morgan County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Makai Owens led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
Meanwhile, Westside played a tough game last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Jackson 42-13. The Seminoles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Morgan County will have to keep a close watch on Jaiden Stephens and Justin Releford, a pair of players who had a big impact on Westside's prior game. Stephens rushed for 124 yards and one score on only eight carries, while Releford rushed for 43 yards. Stephens is becoming a predictor of Westside's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't).
Westside's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Morgan County, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Morgan County has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 424.7 total yards per game. It's a different story for Westside, though, as they've been averaging only 226.6 total yards. Will Morgan County be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Seminoles flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Morgan County against Westside in their previous meeting back in September, as the squad secured a 56-14 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Seminoles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
