The Williamsville Bullets will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Williamsville will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Williamsville came up short against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] and fell 48-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Williamsville has scored all season.
Williamsville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brecken Thomas, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds, and Carson Kohler who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Deer Creek-Mackinaw blew past Mt. Pulaski, posting a 70-42 win at home.
Williamsville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6.
Everything came up roses for Williamsville against Deer Creek-Mackinaw in their previous meeting back in February as the squad secured a 69-33 victory. With Williamsville ahead 52-29 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
