Soccer Game Preview: Bedford vs. Stoneham

The Bedford Buccaneers will face off against the Stoneham Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bedford's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bedford's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Wayland 1-0. The game was the first time Bedford have beaten Wayland on their pitch since October 5, 2020.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Stoneham's offense. They lost 6-0 to Arlington on Tuesday. Stoneham haven't had much luck with Arlington recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bedford's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5-2. As for Stoneham, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Everything went Bedford's way against Stoneham in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Bedford made off with a 7-1 win. Will the Buccaneers repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
