Football Recap: Aaron Hall Key Part of Team Effort in Panthers Win + How To Watch

East Duplin hadn't done well against Princeton recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Bulldogs 42-20. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 58-57 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2022.

East Duplin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaron Hall led the charge by rushing for 112 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. Those 112 rushing yards gave Hall a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Shawn Davis, who rushed for 90 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: East Duplin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 346 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 172 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

East Duplin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zachary Ball and Nickolas Davis.

Teo McPhatter and Gerell Bogle certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. McPhatter rushed for 145 yards and a pair of TDs, while Bogle rushed for 139 yards and one score while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Bogle didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made two total tackles.

East Duplin's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
