North Callaway scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Macon Tigers. The Thunderbirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 43-38.

Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kymorie Myers, who went 7 for 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Myers is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Shryock, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 16 points.

North Callaway's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Macon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

North Callaway will be playing in front of their home fans against Van-Far at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Macon, they will venture away from home to challenge Chillicothe at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
