Basketball Recap: Cedar Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hurricane last Tuesday, Cedar came back down to earth. The Cedar Reds fell just short of the Desert Hills Thunder by a score of 63-60 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Reds have suffered since December 5, 2024.

Cedar's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Desert Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

The future could be bright for both Cedar and Desert Hills: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Cedar will look to extend Crimson Cliffs' three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Desert Hills will try to hand Hurricane their 12th-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
