Volleyball Game Preview: Steubenville Big Red vs. Beaver Local Beavers

Steubenville is 0-10 against Beaver Local since October of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Big Red will venture away from home to face off against the Beavers at 6:30 p.m.

On Monday, Steubenville didn't have quite enough to beat John Marshall and fell 3-2.

While Steubenville ultimately came up short, they really made John Marshall work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 26-24, 18-25, 20-25, 15-5.

Meanwhile, Beaver Local made easy work of Carrollton on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

One reason for the win was Beaver Local's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 25-14.

Beaver Local's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Steubenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Steubenville couldn't quite get it done against Beaver Local in their previous meeting on September 6th as they fell 2-0. Can the Big Red avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
