Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Logan Peters and Isaac Arterburn

Heritage Christian came up into this matchup off a tough 20-point loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Bethesda Christian Patriots by a score of 53-51 on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Heritage Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Isaac Arterburn and Logan Peters. Arterburn went 7-for-10 en route to 16 points, while Peters went 5-for-6 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Arterburn a new career-high in field goal percentage (70%). Another player making a difference was Caleb Flint, who posted seven points.

Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Bethesda Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Heritage Christian will head out to take on Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bethesda Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 25th.
