Basketball Game Preview: New Bloomfield Wildcats vs. Prairie Home Panthers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the New Bloomfield Wildcats challenge the Prairie Home Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday... New Bloomfield's offense hasn't had much luck over their past eight matches, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-12, which was the final score in New Bloomfield's tilt against Russellville on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th, while the Indians are ranked 227th).

Meanwhile, Prairie Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Stover 62-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since December 19, 2023.

Prairie Home now has a losing record at 5-6. As for New Bloomfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
