Soccer Recap: Miami Country Day Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Miami Country Day unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the St. Brendan Sabres on Tuesday, falling 5-2. Miami Country Day were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Brendan apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2015.

Mila Crespo and Maya Depero scored both of Miami Country Day's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Coming up, Miami Country Day is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against North Broward Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Brendan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gulliver Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
