Baseball Recap: Oldham County's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Oldham County won the last time they faced Fern Creek and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Colonels walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Tigers.

Oldham County got a great performance from Hayden Kiesewetter as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those six strikeouts gave Kiesewetter a new career-high.

At the plate, Oldham County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Martin, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run. Josiah McCall was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Oldham County's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-13-1. As for Fern Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Looking ahead, Oldham County will be playing in front of their home fans against Male at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fern Creek, they are taking a road trip to square off against Jeffersontown at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
