Softball Game Preview: Conant Cougars vs. Saint Viator Lions

The Conant Cougars will challenge the Saint Viator Lions at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

Conant made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Barrington, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cougars fell just short of the Fillies/Broncos by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Conant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Falcone, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Saint Viator didn't have quite enough to beat Marian Catholic on Saturday and fell 5-3.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Saint Viator, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-21 record this season.
