Soccer Recap: Lugoff-Elgin Takes a Loss

Lugoff-Elgin managed to keep up with West Florence until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Demons came up short against the Knights, falling 5-1. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Lugoff-Elgin couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Lucy Jackson, who's now up to 15 this season.

Lugoff-Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for West Florence, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lugoff-Elgin will face off against Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lugoff-Elgin will be up against Sumter's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.08 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Florence, they will take on Myrtle Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
