Football Recap: Chester Starts Season with Victory Against Abraham Lincoln

Chester had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters a 20-0 shutout on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Clippers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Railsplitters are ranked 139th).

The critical scores for Chester came from Jerrell Palmer, Jalen Harris, and Daron Harris.

Chester didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sire Hall and Shadrach George.

Coming up, Chester will challenge George Washington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Abraham Lincoln, they will square off against Germantown Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
