Basketball Recap: Manti Templars vs. Millard Eagles        
        
		
             If Manti was riding high  fresh off their  65-31 takedown of San Juan last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Manti Templars fell  58-50 to the Millard Eagles on Thursday. The Templars have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Manti's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   June Olsen, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and nine  rebounds. Olsen's evening made it three games in a row in which  she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Cadee Alder, who  scored 11 points plus two  blocks.
 Millard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Olivia Bassett led the charge by  going 6 for 13 en route to 17 points plus two  steals and two  blocks.  Blakelie Davies was another key player,  earning 18 points.
 Manti's record is now 3-3. As for Millard, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-2.
 Manti will face off against Richfield at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Manti is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54  points per game  this season. Millard has already played their next match,  a  45-37  loss against Delta on the 7th.
