With a playoff win on the line, Eastlake rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over the Mt. Carmel Sundevils. The Titans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Tyler Balko looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 109 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Those 109 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Carmel's leading receiver Connor Gibbons was Taumoepeau's top target yet again, picking up 152 receiving yards and one score.
The win got Eastlake back to even at 6-6. As for Mt. Carmel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Eastlake will challenge Westview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. Mt. Carmel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
