Volleyball Game Preview: Timothy Christian Trojans vs. Sandburg Eagles

The Timothy Christian Trojans will face off against the Sandburg Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Timothy Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Hancock by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Timothy Christian found their leader in sophomore Nate Horne, who had 14 digs and two aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Horne.

Timothy Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Sandburg entered their tilt with Providence Catholic on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Celtics.

While Sandburg might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Providence Catholic scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.

Sandburg pushed their record up to 31-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Timothy Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 22-13.
