Despite the defeat, Immanuel Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore T'Mara Simon posted four points along with 25 boards and three blocks. Those 25 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Simon.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Faustina Academy 33-30.

Trinity Christian Academy now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Immanuel Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
