Basketball Recap: Guajome Park Academy Takes a Loss

Guajome Park Academy was the 63-47 winner over Classical Academy when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Guajome Park Academy Frogs had to suffer through a 70-32 loss at the hands of the Classical Academy Caimans. The Frogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Classical Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Davis led the charge by going 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points. Those 12 points gave Davis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Everett VanDenBerg, who posted 11 points.

Guajome Park Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Classical Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-13 record.

Guajome Park Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bonsall at 5:00 p.m. As for Classical Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Pacific Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
