Volleyball Game Preview: Animo South Los Angeles Panthers vs. Middle College Cougars

The Animo South Los Angeles Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Middle College Cougars at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Animo South Los Angeles came up short against Bell Gardens on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Animo South Los Angeles took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Middle College lost 3-0 to Larchmont Charter on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled against the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-6, 25-21.

Animo South Los Angeles now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Middle College, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Animo South Los Angeles suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Middle College in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
