Jay has won six straight games at home, while Northview has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Royals will host the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Jay narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Gulf Breeze 3-2. The three-run effort marked the Royals' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Layna Lowry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mylee Frazier was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
Jay hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Northview hadn't done well against West Florida recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Chiefs were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Jaguars. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Northview also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Mikayla McAnally gave up only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addysen Bolen, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Jamison Gilman was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Northview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Jay, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jay hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Northview struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Jay couldn't quite get it done against Northview in their previous meeting last Thursday as they fell 9-5. Will the Royals have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
