Volleyball Recap: Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Comes Up Short

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northeastern Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-22, 20-18.

Kailey Jones had a dynamite game For Northeastern., getting 21 digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Jones a new career-high. Lilley Jackson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Northeastern, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 6-13.

Coming up, Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech will take on Currituck County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeastern, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Martin County on the 9th.
