Basketball Recap: Kason Beezer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cypress Creek over Oviedo

Cypress Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 63-44 fall against the Oviedo Lions. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Lions are ranked 76th).

Cypress Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kason Beezer, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Alikai Creque, who earned 11 points.

Cypress Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Oviedo, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Cypress Creek has already played their next contest, a 64-52 loss against Jones on the 28th. As for Oviedo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-45 defeat against Osceola on the 28th.
