Ayer Shirley came into this matchup off a tough 13-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Tahanto Regional Stags by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Stags since May 4, 2022.

Abbey Hoeske made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

Ayer Shirley is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6-1. As for Tahanto Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
