Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Centurions vs. El Dorado Golden Hawks

The Cypress Centurions will head out on the road to take on the El Dorado Golden Hawks at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so El Dorado's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cypress barely beat Foothill the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Centurions blew past the Knights 9-1 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, El Dorado owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Crean Lutheran. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Hawks.

El Dorado's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brady Abner, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

El Dorado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Cypress' record now sits at 14-9. As for El Dorado, their record is now 17-5.
