Preview: Muleshoe Mules vs. Morton Indians
After seven games on the road, Muleshoe is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Morton Indians at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Muleshoe's game was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Bovina by a score of 56-48. The win was just what Muleshoe needed coming off of a 74-34 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Morton's and Kress' game on Tuesday was close at halftime, but Morton turned on the heat in the second half with 40 points. Morton was the clear victor by a 58-35 margin over Kress. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Morton.
Muleshoe's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Morton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Muleshoe was able to grind out a solid victory over Morton when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 53-44. Will Muleshoe repeat their success, or does Morton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
