Baseball Recap: Wes-Del Warriors vs. Cowan Blackhawks

Wes-Del extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-15 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Cowan Blackhawks. The shutout was out of character for the Warriors seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

As for Cowan, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 28th (when they won 19-1).

For Cowan's part, the team relied heavily on Jaden Unger, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Unger has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaydon Auker, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Cowan will challenge Frankton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Wes-Del will be paying especially close attention to the Blackhawks' match: after the Blackhawks face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Wes-Del again at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
