Football Game Preview: Pomona Red Devils vs. Nogales Nobles + Official Tickets

The Pomona Red Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Nogales Nobles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Pomona needed a bit of extra time to put away Sierra Vista. They secured a 34-28 W over the Dons. Considering the Red Devils' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Nogales waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Wildcats as they made off with a 34-14 win. The Nobles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Pomona better focus on containing Orlando Zamora and Santino Garcia as the pair were huge in Nogales' win. Zamora rushed for 96 yards and four scores, while Garcia rushed for 143 yards on only ten carries. Those 143 rushing yards gave Garcia a new career-high.

Nogales was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 276 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Pomona's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Nogales, their record now sits at 5-3.

Pomona was taken down by Nogales 44-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Nobles' Noah Lopez, who rushed for 62 yards and a pair of TDs.
