Soccer Recap: Morris Takes a Loss

Morris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 7-2 to the Rochelle Hubs. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Morris was already down 4-0.

Xander Braun and August Valdivia scored both of Morris' goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Morris' loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Rochelle, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morris will welcome Kaneland at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Morris will be up against Kaneland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.47 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rochelle, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Dixon at 4:30 p.m.
