There's no place like home for Evergreen, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the D'Evelyn Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Cougars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Evergreen never let D'Evelyn on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-12, 25-16.

Charleston Cowen paced Evergreen's offense, picking up nine kills. Cowen got some help from Sophie Mulso and her 16 assists. Anabelle Wyatt controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, D'Evelyn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chelyn Kwon had 13 digs and two assists. Arianna Griffin also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Evergreen's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for D'Evelyn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.

Evergreen has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Green Mountain on the 16th. As for D'Evelyn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Standley Lake on the 21st.
