Football Recap: Blue Ridge/Deland-Weldon Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Oblong Panthers 43-6.

Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon and Oblong will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Knights are set to challenge their familiar foe Unity Christian/Mt. Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oblong will take on rival South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
