Football Game Preview: Absegami Braves vs. Highland Regional Tartans

The Absegami Braves will head out to face off against the Highland Regional Tartans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Absegami is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 47 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Cumberland on Friday. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 13-10.

Meanwhile, Highland Regional played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 33-12 to Eastern. The Tartans were down 33-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Although Highland Regional took the loss, they still got scores from Zion Brockenbrough and Titan Gray.

Absegami's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Highland Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Absegami suffered a grim 28-6 defeat to Highland Regional in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Thankfully for the Braves, Nehemiah Butler-Mayhew (who rushed for 259 yards and four scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
