Baseball Recap: Tucker County Find Success

Tucker County's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Trinity Christian Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Mountain Lions: when they faced off against the Warriors last Wednesday, they had to take a 7-2 defeat.

Brock Hovatter was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Luke Barb was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Tucker County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Tucker County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Trinity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Tucker County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 loss against Tygarts Valley on the 7th. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
