Benbrook proved they can win big  last Thursday (they won by six) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trinity Valley Trojans, sneaking past  6-4. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered  an  8-7  loss the last time these two teams met.
  Ethan Tucker and  Ethan Smith did most of the damage at the plate:  Tucker  went a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  double, while  Smith  scored two  runs and  stole  Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That  double was  Tucker's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lucas Jackson, who  scored a  run and  stole  Three bases.
Benbrook has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record  this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.6 runs over those games. Trinity Valley is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 Benbrook has  already played their next  contest (against Arlington Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Trinity Valley, they will venture away from home to  challenge Cleburne  at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
