Football Recap: Woodland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Woodland had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it seven. They were outmatched by the Fayetteville Wolves and fell 63-13. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Fayetteville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won three matchups by 36 points or more so far this season.

Presley Duke was his usual excellent self, rushing for 179 yards and one TD on only six carries, while also throwing for 126 yards and three touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 104.4 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Cameron Hammonds, who rushed for 152 yards and one score on only 15 carries.

Coming up, Woodland will venture away from home to square off against Donoho at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Fayetteville, they will welcome Ellwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Wolves will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
