Baseball Preview: Claymont Mustangs vs. Fairless Falcons
The Claymont Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Fairless Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Claymont will be strutting in after a win while Fairless will be coming in after a defeat.
While Claymont's victory against Canton South wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 5-3.
Brady Fox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Brayson Gray was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Fair, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
