Football Recap: Georgia Military College Takes a Loss

Georgia Military College lost against Johnson County back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs had to suffer through a 42-3 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Nathan Turberville went supernova For Johnson County., throwing for 136 yards and four TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing, while also rushing for 47 yards. Turberville was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Scott, who gained 114 total yards and a touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Georgia Military College and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Johnson County, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

Georgia Military College and Johnson County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time Georgia Military College sees the field they'll take on Emanuel County Institute at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Johnson County, their break will end when they face McIntosh County Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
