Baseball Recap: Naperville North Takes a Loss

Naperville North was the 6-2 winner over Neuqua Valley when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell 5-2 to the Wildcats on Tuesday.

Naperville North got a good showing from Aiden Kelly, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kelly has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Naperville North saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Sonnenschein, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Sonnenschein has snagged this season.

Naperville North now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Neuqua Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13-1.

While Naperville North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
