Softball Recap: Channel Islands Comes Up Short

Channel Islands was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hueneme Vikings, falling 10-2. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 9-2 to them when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Channel Islands' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hueneme, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Channel Islands will venture away from home to challenge Santa Paula at 3:00 p.m. on March 6th. As for Hueneme, they will host San Marcos at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. San Marcos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
