Baseball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Jackson City

The Jackson City Tigers had just enough and edged out the East Ridge Warriors 3-2 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.

Jackson City's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gavan Ritchie, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Ritchie has posted since back in May of 2024.

Jackson City's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for East Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
