Football Game Preview: Campo Verde Coyotes vs. Arizona College Prep Knights + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Jonah Lubno and Evan Heinrich are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Campo Verde Coyotes will head out to challenge the Arizona College Prep Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Campo Verde is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 48 points last Friday, they were much more limited against ALA - Gilbert North on Friday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 42-13. The Coyotes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

The losing side was boosted by Wyatt Rauch, who picked up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Arizona College Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 31-21 victory over Notre Dame Prep on Friday.

Campo Verde better keep an eye on Max Sasso. He was instrumental in Arizona College Prep's win, rushing for 104 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Sasso's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Arizona College Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Amane Breedlove and Tyson Cheatham. Breedlove also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six. Arizona College Prep got some further help from Noah Montoya: he forced one fumble, made ten total tackles (1.5 for loss), and defended one pass.

Arizona College Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games. As for Campo Verde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
