With a playoff win on the line, Durango rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Silverado Skyhawks a 4-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Trailblazers sure are getting used to it with their 18th in a row.

Alexander Mercurius made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-6 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Durango's record now sits at 26-6. As for Silverado, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 19-9 record.

As of now, neither Durango nor the Skyhawks have any future games scheduled.
