Baseball Recap: Cochranton Comes Up Short

Cochranton came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-0 to the Maplewood Tigers. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cochranton's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Maplewood, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cochranton is set to face off against their familiar foe Cambridge Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Maplewood will challenge rival Rocky Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
