Seneca extended their winning streak to ten on Saturday, bumping them up to 33-1. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Rockridge Rockets. This was payback for the Fighting Irish, who suffered an 8-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

As for Rockridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-8 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs.

For Rockridge's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Schlapkohl, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Looking ahead, Seneca will square off against East Moline United at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rockridge, they will be taking part in a tournament against Manteno at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
